Riversdale Estate is an easy drive from Hobart in the South or from Richmond in the North. Vast grape vines grow award winning wines on site with a working cellar door providing tastings from Wednesday through to Sunday. The French Bistro offers fine dining for lunch sessions. "We had a group of ten for a high tea birthday. Lovely décor and the food was sensational. Best scones I have ever eaten, sandwiches were freshly prepared. Other delicacies were just as delightful. It was a very generous serving for each guest. I don't think anyone would have been able to eat dinner that evening we were all so full. Best high tea in Hobart in my opinion. Is there parking on site?
Yes, we have plenty of parking on site and there is just a small 30 second walk up a small incline on paved pathway while you enjoy the views looking out to the Coal River Valley before you get to our stunning high tea room.
Is it Kids & Baby Friendly?
Yes and we have baby change stations in our bathrooms and Riversdale Estate is a space fit for the whole family.
Can I sit outdoors or indoors?
We do have an outdoor area to explore, however the high tea is served in our custom built orangery room and is climate controlled with beautiful views over the vineyard and Coal River Valley.
Is there a dress code?
Not specifically, but, we do recommend wearing something fitting with the occasion. Our high tea’s are an experience “to dress up for” and you’ll certainly feel comfortable in the beautiful surrounds of our room.
Is it pet or dog friendly?
We don’t allow pets into the high tea room, if you need to bring a service animal or other pet onto the property - please let us know in advance.
What is an Orangery?
It is a traditional style room with large glass windows and is full of light.
Can I just arrive and pay on the day?
No, you’ll need to book in advance as all of our pastries are made fresh to order for the allocated guests numbers.
