Riesling excels in Tasmania's Coal River Valley. With high levels of summer sunshine, a cooling maritime climate and ancient Jurrasic soils, Riversdale Estate is ideally located to realise the variety's potential for producing classically structured wines of superb depth and intensity. The 2016 displays grapefruit and citron/jam melon characters, with the minerality that is typically associated with Riesling from our vineyard. Bracingly fresh and dry, it can be enjoyed now as an aperitif but has its best years on front of it.
